Met up with old friends on Sunday, who have now relocated to the Cayman Islands. When they lived at Lime Kiln it was always a date in the diary to visit in Late Spring or Early Summer as the grounds were famous as a rose garden dating to the early 20th Century although the house itself was medieval. Here are a few of the millions of photographs I took over the years.

It's beautiful!! Are you still allowed to visit after your friends have moved? I am a bit jealous of these types of properties, beautiful stone buildings and gardens with archways. Where I am in Vermont when we say 'old building' at most we mean the 1600s.... How wonderful to be living in such an historic place.

Having the joy of working in hundreds of gardens in the course of my work I miss the forget-me-nots underplanted rose borders and wild county gardens.
There is not a great deal that makes me want to be in England...but:-0))

It's just got dark, there, but an hour ago, he was indeed in rapture on top of one of my apple trees!
Becky, no, sadly, never been back, but the memories are mine to keep!
However, I'm meeting up with Cayman friends to visit Chelsea Flower Show next month. Will blog it, of course!
